Look better in blue jeans

Whether it’s Hollywood or a hoedown, blue jeans never seem to go out of style. But looking bootylicious in your favorite pair takes some work.

To help you get the rear view you desire, follow a smart diet, take a 30-minute daily walk or engage in some other cardio, and do the following toning workout at home every other day. All you need are a pair of 8-pound dumbbells, a sturdy kitchen chair, a deck of cards, a coffee table and a floor mat or towel.

*Walking lunges with weights. Holding your weights in each hand, take a giant step forward with your right leg, lowering the body until your right thigh is parallel to the floor. Keep your back straight and focus looking forward. Straighten up and bring the left leg forward into the next step as you move across the floor or down your hallway. Aim for 10 lunges in a row and then turn around and repeat. Do this twice.

*Sit down/stand up squat. Stand in front of a chair and sit down on the seat. Then stand back up, raising your arms until they are straight out in front of your shoulders. Repeat 20 times.

*Kick backs. Start on all fours on the mat or towel on the floor. Then take your right leg and extend it straight back with your foot off the floor. Next, bend the knee and flex your foot, press the leg up and then lower, all the while squeezing your buttocks. Do 25 lifts on each leg.

*Card pick-up squat. Remove 15 cards from a deck and hold them in one hand. Take one card and deal it down onto the floor as you squat down by bending the knees, keeping your weight on your heels and wiggling your toes as you come up. Do this until the cards are all down on the floor. Then pick one up at a time, the same way you put them down.

*Hip/butt lift. Using either a coffee table or the seat of a sturdy chair, lie on your back with your hips on the floor and place your heels on the coffee table or seat of the chair. Next, press down with your heels and lift up your hips. Squeeze your buttocks and lift as far as you can. Slowly lower down and repeat. Do 20 reps and then repeat the set.

xD haha dumbasses.
Too funny.  Lots of people sitting in seats typing about exercise and butt size! I'm guilty too- just could not resist!
Well I think any kind of work out is great, but why do ppl have to go to the race issue? Everything has to do with race or what? Cant we just have a fun conversation with out so much inphasis on if it was a black or white chick who did the article or some black/white chick who is observing a little tooooo much!!! WHY WHY WHY!!!! I think its for attention or cause some ppl just need to have that DRAMA in their life. Can we just all stop with the racial things.... I am a white chick and I have a very curvy body with a bootie! I am not fat I am average so the whole bootielicious thing does not just apply to black ppl because a black person came up with it! SO WHAT!!! Get over it..... we are gonna use it too! So only hispanic ppl can have nice hips cause shakira has stated singing about her hips......
R     I    G    H   T ........ ( Just an observation )
I, too, had a 22" waist and 36" hips. Now it's 28/40. Whenever I want to be sidetracked from my mundane kitchen duties, I just lean over the lower cupboards when hubby is in the kitchen!  And another great exercise session begins!  Little Girl
Still waiting for the love handles solution, since all the jeans that might look good on a bootie these days are so low-rising that they end up creating flesh waterfalls over the waistband of them... not a pretty sight even on the sexiest bootie!!
One has to do a bit more work than the article suggests if they actually want to see improvement. I had to increase my running mileage to 50-70 miles/week and become 20 lb underweight before I liked what I saw. Finally I can wear skinny low rise jeans without any feelings of self-consciousness. Takes a bit more than 30 minutes a day and some home-remedy exercise routines, that's for sure.
I'm pretty sure the girl in the picture is Jessica Alba.. she is not a white girl.

My two cents: its good that women like sex or a) you men would never get it and b) the population would die out and whoops, there goes the human race.
Middle aged housewife laughing hysterically!! I love sex with my husband only thing we are good at together! College nickname was cheeks.
Is it ever gonna stop? Men calling women hoes just because we like sex? You guys are the universal hoes. Ya'll wouldn't be able to go a day without us. Without women by your side...our affection and what's between our legs, you'd be a bunch of nobodys. Guess what? you wouldn't even exist. Do you think your mama made you praying in church?

Some of you guys can't even take care yourselves.

A message to all my ladies: We are God's gift to the world. Without us the human race would sieze to exist. Must I tell you that we also have a goldmine between our legs...make 'em work for it ladies.
Why does everyone rip on each other here. Exercise is healthy!(any form of it)Feeling good is a benefit, too.
Yaw'll are too funny, everbody is crazy 'cept for me!! Ha!  Exercise you mind body and soul and it will all even out the way God intended.
Peace and b cool people!
Well, it looks like she has been eating right and exercising. These exercises are pretty basic and I hope people start using them as Jessica is just a human being but she did the work. Do the work and get the results.
What was the article about?  By the time I finished reading these, um, "responses", I had forgotten..
Top weight loss site...You are a mess. Why couldn't you just tell us that you are actually in the busines of making money instead of helping people.  It took you all that non-sense, repetative, redundant writing to say that if we buy your book then we can have a helthier better body. Just get on TV with the rest of them at 2AM in the morn and you'll get your money. I'll stick with the old fashion way of working out, it will teach me patience and persistance.
Always tryin to get a buck...!  Funny
People we did not come here in a box, mass produced, we are all different so treat yourself as that.  Do what is right for you, and keep at it.  I'm struggling just as the rest of America, but I'm determined to have a healthier me that is pleasing to me. Not to or for anybody else...
Peace!
i think it's jessica alba in the picture...
Im feeling that .....Jennifer in Atlanta, GA...Why do we have to always find fault....this site ( i thought) was to improve your physical well being....fyi sex is good exercise....kaytie, jus sayin
you are so right redbreast - peace and love, kaytie
p.s. all of yall are a riot!!!!!
Umm, I quit smoking cold turkey 2.5 yrs ago by waking up to the tread mill.  I started with a totally FLAT butt.  But, after this long, I no longer have a flat butt and my hubby loves it.  I really don't mind his hands there either, lol.

Gosh, guess I'm a ho too!!

Cool!
Dimsummm, you ought to get a clue to happiness in a relationship.  Oh, sorry you probably don't have one.  After 30 years with the same guy I still love sex - he is a very happy guy. And girls, the lunges work. I also use a 14 inch step that I step up onto and back down 30 reps per leg each night before bed.  I'm 48, 5'6" 123 lbs. and have had guys of all ages comment on my firm backside.
"I had to increase my running mileage to 50-70 miles/week and become 20 lb underweight before I liked what I saw." -zee

HEY, um thats not healthy by any stretch of imagination!
being 20 lbs underweight is DANGEROUS
u need to start eating
